Stomatitis Does Anyone Have A Cat That Has Lived Through Severe Stomatitis?

Does anyone have a cat that has lived through severe stomatitis? - stomatitis

My cat has been diagnosed, it is almost 3 months and was put on steroids and antibiotics. My vet seems to Pulling Teeth so there is no guarantee that you will live longer and more expensive. One of my friends think it is cruel to remove all her teeth, I do not know what to do. He is 9 years and healthy otherwise. : (

Cats all his teeth pulled to play half a sip. Your gums are hardened and can also manage chunks. One of mine had all his teeth pulled because of stomatitis. It prefers dry food, but insisted on giving the doses received enough to hold water.

Ask your veterinarian to check the connection of feline Bartonella your cat? If you did not Bartonella, the good news is that 90% of the cases can be completely cleared with antibiotics for her. It takes 21 days. My vet was part of a study on cats this--3/4ths saw the problems in the mouth a bad result for Bartonella. And try their problems can be corrected.

I will link to the study after, and one side of the PS in it.

Worked for many years in the veterinary field, I saw my fair share of cats with stomatitis. In general, cats can not chew their food - even healthy cats with mouth 100%, and stomatitis is a very painful disease, and done a disservice to your pet by not throwing all their teeth. If she has all her teeth, I can not guarantee the stomatitis, without seeing what the cat is fixed now, but I can tell you much happier cat. I know he is unlikely given his age, but when one is healthy, otherwise it will be done 2-3 years of youth in the affected teeth. A good example is two cats had 10 years of a group emergency extractions severe stomatitis bite - has been approved O reports than 5 years ago that cats love life.
I hope you make the best decision for your cat and wish him luck.

I have cats very well with the extracted teeth in a case of severe stomatitis, chronic. The last case I remember his hand was 12-13 years old. Only a few days later-op, ate the cat is usually relatively) (by the owner of the description. I can tell you for a lifetime so far, and I am sure that the medical history of your cat over, but it seems to go well, without teeth.

After a second consultation with the vet, or maybe even seek a second opinion / Divert if you are unsure. It is a process that dramatically, then I recommend you the good pain treatment, as well (which is easily accessible) in today's world of veterinary medicine.

Good luck ...

Maybe it's time to find another vet? Stomatitis is a type of autoimmune disease, so the vet to administer steroids. Think of it as the system of the cat refuse teeth. In rescue, we have seen much of him (such as why cats dumped at the shelter). They respond so well to the extraction of teeth - is almost a relief for them! So, although some require that all food, canned diet. I had a chat host, a woman the same age as you eat more to dry, even after the teeth were gone.

Pulling Teeth is actually the standard treatment of stomatitis. I say go for it, and no matter what your friend said. It would certainly be more cruel than * not * get your teeth!
