Mono-pods are only for quick shots at close range are not the point of recording. They are determined as a tripod, but without installation.

If you still want to make a monkey pod to have some tools and accessories (obviously). To have parts that you need a screw that (the same size as the camera attachment to the bottom of the small screw hole) and a pen, is at the desired height on the strip. An optional element is reduced with a weight of a set of weights in the background. You also need a mill to grind out the screw head. Drill (to make a hole in the middle of the thick end should do something more than $ 25), approximately 1 / 16 "smaller than the size of the bolt. Forceps, screw on the socket head screws, then tighten the screws on the bottom the camcorder. This should function as a monopod.

Hope this helps,
Randall

How much do you know put inside? If it is less than 5 pounds, check this site: http://www.cs.cmu.edu/ ~ / Johnny Steadycam / .... The cost seems to be ever more than $ 14 (approx. U.S. $ 20), but it works very well and is much better than the handheld is a beep and then a whole lot of Steadicam.
